Web Blogging in the classroom

With the use of technology in any subject area, communication is necessary no matter how it is done, this makes web blogging a great asset to improved instructions and communication in the classroom.

Below are ways in which web blogging improved instructions and communication:

1. Improve interaction with peers by commenting on each others work and   make criticism in a constructive manner.

2. Helps students share their ideas and opinions.

3. Writing ability and various skills will be enhance.

4. students can be keep up-to-date with any information that
was missed in class e.g.home assignments that was given.

With the use of my blog in the classroom, students would be given a few minutes after the lesson a chance to write a blog post about the information that was discussed in the class session based on lesson taught which captured their interested the most, with this, it enhances their writing skills and valuable information and ideas would be shared to others. Course outline and assignments would be posted, to keep not only students but their parents up-to-date.

  1. Since you mentioned keeping the parents up to date as well, do you think it would be a good idea to post activities geared towards them and if so what types of activities would you suggest?

  2. No, I do not think it would be a good idea to post activities geared towards the parents because the blog is just for parents to be kept up to date in regard to the student progress or any homework activities
